Twenty years ago a desperate plea for a new venue offering stylish wedding receptions, led to development of Stanley’s Wedding Fairs and Exhibitions.
Capturing the essence of individuals who want a quiet family celebration, through to a day-in-a lifetime production on a far away beach, Stanley’s wedding fairs brings together the finest wedding day suppliers in the Shires of Derby, Leicester, Nottingham and Stafford to show off the dream ideas for that special day.
By touring around the prestigious events in each area, visitors get a real chance to taste the wedding cake, see the gowns and meet the banqueting staff at each event. For many couples it is a perfect chance to have a leisurely look around to talk about their plans, while others simply get on and book the cars, venue and choose the bouquets! The Wedding Directory is given to every bride-to-be at the venue and that guarantees people will keep on calling well after the event is complete.
All Stanley’s events host two professional bridal shows to bring the choices to life from the perfect Gown and Groom’s attire, to the all important Mother of the Bride outfits and bridesmaids. Music, flowers, lighting and commentary focus attention and ensure late night opening hours and special offers are highlighted.
All the Wedding Fairs are advertised in local newspapers and supportive radio campaigns on Heart 106 fm. And - typically of Stanley’s who think of every detail -each exhibition is signposted to make sure the exhibitors and guests make it to the Big Day!

This has been the most ambitious project in DerbyCollege's
history. The pioneering transformation of the once derelict grade II* building

90 stands and nobody being placed in a corner!
